How did we start
Comerciando Global is a consulting firm located in Madrid, specialized in providing consultancy services in different management areas, with high expertise regarding negotiation, regulatory affairs, strategic international planning and foreign trade.
Founded in 2001, Comerciando Global’s first project was the conceptual development and business strategy of “Xportplus”, an innovative B2B platform developed under the VR + D + I FRAMEWORK PROGRAMME of the European Union by a consortium of 13 private and institutional partners from 8 European countries. This project obtained EU funding of 1.7 million Euros.
This project granted Comerciando Global recognition: Award from the INCYDE / RTVE / INEM foundation for being the best business project in 2004. Finalist and winner of the awards NETI and CREARA of the Business Institute and the lESE, respectively, for being the best technological company business, in 2005. Finalist of the Academic Entrepreneurs awards of the Everis Foundation in 2005.
For several years, we have managed the international strategy and regulatory affairs of the Calidad Pascual Group designing a winning strategy to modify European legislation on fermented milks and dismantling technical barriers to trade at global level.
Comerciando Global at present
Today, Comerciando Global assembles professionals from different backgrounds expanding its activities in different management areas with special emphasis on the development of internationalization strategies, in order to increase the added value, efficiency and cost savings. This requires a strategic and innovative vision in order to grow or to save costs more efficiently.
Comerciando Global has been one of the first consultancy firms to take Spanish companies to Azerbaijan and to look for new markets and business opportunities.
Meet the founder who made this project possible
Founder and CEO of Comerciando Global
Economy lawyer and masters degree in community law by the University of Deusto, Magiser Iuris Europeis by the University del Sarre, MBA by the Vrije University von Brussels (VUB) and Master in communication and TV production by El MundoTv/TRACOR. Mirian has a vast international experience in community law and business management, focusing in particular on issues of regulatory affairs of the UE, International Trade, I+D+I and SME policy.
This extensive training has recently been completed in the United States with specific courses on boards of Directors in Harvard Business School and of Negotiation with the Karras group.
Mirian began her professional career in international law firms, where she was a member of three of the world’s largest firms: White & Case, Baker & Mackenzie and Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, specializing in international contracting and European law.
Until 2000, she served the European Commission, where she held a number of functions ranging from managing an international business cooperation network of international strategy and R+D consultants,to member of the Cabinet of Commissioner Marcelino Oreja.
Being member of the cabinet, she was responsible for economic policy, agriculture, R&D&I and industrial policy.
Finally, In the Directorate-General for Industry she was responsible for concerted actions between the EC and the Ministries responsible for SME policy in the Member States.This unit developed different initiatives, such as the one stop-shop for businesses, the recommendation against payment delays, the succession of companies or the BEST initiative for the improvement of the business environment.
In year 2001, Mirian established Comerciando Global with the mission to help businesses to expand successfully in foreign markets.
At present Mirian has assembled a staff of professionals specialized in foreign markets and foreign trade, trained in most reputed business schools.
In addition, she has agreements with professional collaborators in the countries in which Comerciando Global works, adding local to the international experience.
They are professionals in the management of international projects sharing their capacity to work in different sectors of specialization in each market, depending on the country and the sector, with the aim of guaranteeing the success of the internationalization strategies of clients.
